Franklin Street IRT Subway Station and Canopy

Location - Franklin Street and West Broadway, NYC

The project involved the rehabilitation of existing subway station including new wall tiles, terazzo tile flooring, lighting, gates signage and entrance canopy in Finn Square. The 1917 mosaic frieze was restored. The news stand were converted to window art installations. The canopy was designed as a modern interpretation of the original castiron entries found at some stations and is the focal point of the plaza.
